Navigating the Administration/ Avoiding and Managing Risks Duties of the PR; Whether the administration of the estate should be taken on at all; What to do when it becomes clear that the firm is not able to deal with the administration – competence and capacity issues; Identifying risk and particular issues such as a) potential claims by or against an estate and the particular duties in those circumstance b) friction between beneficiaries and or conflicts; c) Domicile and tax; d) Questions over the assets, including extent, legitimacy and criminality; e) Solvency and debts. Speakers: Julian Reed Julian Reed practices in the areas of family and civil law, specialising in areas where the two disciplines overlap. His practice includes contentious probate matters, acting for both claimants and defendants (including executors) in cases involving the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.
