1980s, they had a mechanical clock installed where this creepy looking clown would light up and tilt its head towards the crowd every hour or so, and during noon hour, the clown would move its hand on the lever repeatably as the entire mechanical clock springs into life, first by playing a catchy melody, then the center piece of the clock would slowly open up, revealig a bunch of spinning clockwork pieces and wooden elfs inside. the clock seem was pretty magical for me as a child, because sometimes when i'm in the toys department and i hear the sound of the clock, i would frantically run back down the stairs just to see the clock in action. what a wonderful time that was.
