The 2024 Red Bull Romaniacs Prologue, held on Bulevardul Coposu in Sibiu, Romania, marked the commencement of the renowned Hard Enduro Rallye. The course, meticulously designed by Andy Fazekas, featured 22 obstacles constructed from 80 tons of rocks, logs, concrete, tires, and water, providing relentless challenges from start to finish. In the Gold class, two-time Red Bull Romaniacs champion Jonny Walker delivered a masterful performance, completing eight laps to secure first place. He was closely followed by Alfredo Gómez and reigning Hard Enduro World Champion Manuel Lettenbichler, who finished second and third respectively. The Prologue not only determined the starting order for the subsequent off-road days but also awarded championship points to the top finishers, adding a strategic element to the competition. Notably, riders' finishing positions impacted their overall times, with penalties applied accordingly.
