Remember when I said 999 Masakado would be impossible without Strategize or the two most broken demons in the game? Well it turns out he is. He's just very. very tedious. Essentially once you clear level 300, his Freikugels will start doing damage in the 670 range at +2/-2 which essentially is a one shot to Bino if he chains multiple in a row. So then how do we manage him? Well Masakado's AI is coded in a way that he will always use Diarama to heal for a flat 2k or so HP every time his weakness is struck. So the trick to making sure you can beat him like this is making sure he can never hit you... at all. And then outpace his 10,000-16,000 heal depending on if you use Chaotic Will or not. Something that is very easy to do if you abuse Multi-hits. The team I decided to assemble for this battle is as follows Nahobino- His job is to hit Masakado with fire, as well as shortening his turns with Chaotic Will or increasing the Magatsuhi Gauge and passing with Lunation Flux to better manage the turn economy. Jack Frost- Originally I had Nahobeeho here but upon thinking about it, Jack Frost with Glacial Blast would do more damage Jack Tempest- 28 pwr * 10 hits = 280 (yes it does more damage on crit but man does not crit) Jack Frost with Glacial Blast- 150 pwr * 2 hits = 30. The other bonus to Jack Frost is that he and the next demon have the innate Fickle Personality, which guarantees critical hits under Omogatoki if a skill hits a weakness and has positive potential. Also Jack frost can provide buffs with Fairy Banquet and Defense Debuffs with Pierce Armor (which also hits a physical weakness) Yuurlunger- The other Fickle Personality user who hits Masakado with Elec and Dark. The only dark multi-hit in the game is Alice's Die for Me! and she doesn't have as neat a slot on my team as the next demon. Also Yuurlunger, being a Snake-race demon, has Omogatoki Dance, which unlocks the cap on Multi-hit moves. Cherubim- Can hit Masakado with Force and his unique skill Judgement Light. While Judgement Light isn't any more powerful than the 4 Tetra Multi-Hits, Cherub's innate skill, Pandemonic Feast, adds 2 more hits to Multi-Hit attacks (as well as increasing their accuracy). With this setup, the flow of the fight goes like this Fairy Banquet - Succession - Fairy Banquet (because Buffs run out even with BBEX and BB doubling their duration) - Dance - Repeat. While Nahobino has Succession active, cast Fire Shards or Gems instead of Ragnarok. And with this, you can rip through a large portion of Masakado's HP and kill him in 3 cycles of doing this depending on how optimal you are. Also note that this video is just a Proof of Concept done at level 400. 999 should be possible with this method just a LOT longer because of his vastly higher level and HP pool. 0:00 Maria 1:03 Inanna 2:19 Danu 3:08 Khonsu Ra 5:00 Masakado 31:50 Last Hit + Builds #shinmegamitensei5 #smtv #smtvv #shinmegamitensei #shinmegamitenseiv #smt #atlus #superboss #gaming
