The Malihini custom flashlight requires an 18350 style battery. For our light, we recommend the KeepPower 1200mah 18350 from Illumn.com - they are however the physically largest battery on the market so this video explains how they should fit and my technique for getting it out if it's a little "snug". Your battery should NEVER require force to push in. If it does something is wrong. Never force a battery into the light. Here's my write-up from my FB post on batteries: ot of people have lots more knowledge and info about batteries and chargers than I do, but readily available and high quality - we have been testing the Malihini light with KeepPower18350 1200mah cells. These cells are among this highest capacity and also are dimensionally the largest diameter among the cells we tested, so they do fit a hair more snug than other cells but I really prefer them. https://www.illumn.com/batteries-char... I charge mine on a Nitecore D4: https://www.illumn.com/batteries-char... You can even get a 12V adapter cord for your car if you go car camping or whatnot: https://www.illumn.com/batteries-char... I highly recommend Craig Shih / Illumn as a good, trusted source for getting batteries from. Our Malihini lights will NOT ship with batteries, so if you get one or are planning on getting one, follow the links to stock up on some cells.
