|| Sri Gurubhyonamaha || Sarasijanabha Sodari -The Epitome of Naagagandhari Sarasijanabha Sodari is a Kriti originally composed by Muttuswamy Dikshitar in Raaga Naagagandhari ,set to Rupaka Taala.This raaga is said to have come to popularity through the compositions of Dikshitar itself. This composition is on Goddess Parvathy,the sister of Lord Vishnu.Here,the poet goes on to describe the devi and seeks her to protect and bestow the bhaktas with her blessings . Navaratri being the most celebrated festival in the country, truly is a celebration of feminine energy and here we are, presenting the series “Navārnival”-The Synergy of Dance & Music.This is a humble attempt ,which essentially takes compositions of Carnatic music, and adds a flavour of contemporary elements of music to tap into every beat of today’s connoisseurs. The Epitome of Naagagandhari is the first of the series. Here,the focus is to keep the bhakti bhava alive and to explore the possibilities by giving to it, various other colours of music.
