Our Medway Valley Road Trip through the Kent countryside & beyond - (1/2)

Our Medway Valley road trip at the upper reaches River Medway before it reaches the River Thames. Part of Our Kent Road trip series (   • Kent Road Trips  ) exploring the country the county of Kent. Our journey starts on the A20, just off junction 4 of the M20 motorway. We pass through the village of Ryarsh, with its historic Duke of Wellington pub dating from circa 1516. Onward we head to the village of Birling, we step out ad take a short look around, before heading onwards, pointing out the free public car park at Holly Hill before passing through the village of Harvel. As mentioned in the video, why not check out the options for exploring the countryside from Ordnance Survey via there shop - https://tidd.ly/3pM1m2N (this is a commission link so we earn a little, but at no extra cost you yourself) The route continues through the eastern end of Meopham, before detouring through Sole Street before arriving at Cobham, where we stretch our legs and take a look around. Next, we head out over the A2, the London to Dover road, where you can pick up this route at the Cobham/Shorne junction. Our journey then takes us to the outskirts of Highham, and we head down Gad's Hill, where Charles Dickens lived and died. A brief stretch along a dual carriageway brings us to Upnor, where again we have a quick look around. (There's a full video of Upnor in the links below) Our final stop on this adventure takes us to Lower Upnor where we can look over the River Medway to Maritime Chatham, which is where we'll continue next time.
