While exploring the Terai landscape and shooting in the Dudhwa National Park we spoke to the senior most Mahout (Elephant handler) and learned from him about the actual tasks performed by the Elephants. These tamed giants have an incredible understanding of their surroundings and form close bonds with their handlers. It is always advisable not to approach or touch the Elephants without the presence of the handler.
