Another year, another rack tour! Some nice power changes, a description of my WiFi (finally), and new Base server (we're up to V4). I also give a sneak preview of my next video which is in the works. This was take 3 of me rambling at 2AM, so I missed/was wrong about a few things! Early on I said the rack was pulling 18A out of the 20A circuit which was the redline/safe limit, but that was incorrect - it was actually 16A which is actually the redline (80%) and I would occasionally peak to 17A when doing intensive things. I have no clue where I got 18A from. Current usage is up a bit due to the new GPU, sitting around 2100W/17.4A right now. I didn't point out that I removed another side panel from the rack and moved the A/C unit to better pull in hot air directly without a tube, and keep the cooling close to the rack, which has helped a bit with temps in the room. I completely failed to mention the specs of the new Base machine - it's got a pair of 16 Broadwell CPUs, 512GB of DDR4 ECC, and 2x 2TB M.2 NVMe drives in a RAID-Z (ZFS root on Debian). Same specs that I had in the R630 version with a slight RAM increase as well, just transplanted into the new chassis. If you notice anything else I missed and that you'd like me to touch on, please drop a comment below and I'll answer it!
