The Origin of the Estus Flask

The Estus Flask is the iconic healing item from the Dark Souls series, also used in other Souls titles such as Sekiro and Elden Ring, but under a different name. It is an item that allows the player to heal during their adventure, but its uniqueness lies in the fact that it fully recharges whenever the player rests near a Bonfire or Site of Grace (Elden Ring). However, not everyone knows that the first true appearance of the Estus Flask happens in King's Field, with the same function but a slightly different gameplay mechanic. In King's Field, players can find these empty crystal flasks and refill them at healing fountains to obtain blue potions that restore HP, or at the Seath fountains to obtain golden potions that restore both HP and MP.
