A friendship formed: they spent hours whiling away, singing and strumming the guitar. Their musical roots evolved from the artists their parents enjoyed: Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Etta James, Sam Cooke, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Soon, ink began to hit paper and lyrics emerged. These two free spirited old souls were raised under the wide-open Texas skies and learned to lean upon their unique perspectives borne of hardships and heartaches and emerged with a compelling sound all their own.
