The Turning Point - Amref Brings water closer to communities in Pader District in Uganda

Amref Health Africa is changing lives by bringing water closer to communities not just a few kilometers away but closing the gap to a meter or less in schools, homesteads and health facilities. When water is scare it takes a greater toll on women and children especially the girl child because often they are the one responsible for collecting water. When water is further away , it requires more time , take more energy thus the ripple effect is less time for self care, less school time, stress and disease. If there is no water in school the impact on student enrolment, attendance and performance is felt. In this video we share the impact bringing water closer to the users has created in a record time.
