1942 Japan Lineup – Historical Battle Rating Challenge | War Thunder

A historical battle rating challenge using what Japan operated in 1942, against other 1942 vehicles in War Thunder. I will also need to get an ace (5 eliminations) in every single vehicle in the lineup in one life while fighting at a BR of 4.3. Some of my tanks even have a BR of 1.0 due to their operational use in 1942. Japan isn’t exactly known for its tank production, especially by the standards of the 1940s. Most of their combat experience came from fighting forces like China and Korea, where the threat of enemy tanks or anti-tank guns was minimal. This allowed their tanks to stay effective in their environments, despite being massively outclassed in comparison to other nations. Combining this with poor industrial capability, design flaws, and stretched supply lines meant that by the time of 1942, when Japan finally faced modern Allied forces, their tanks were completely outclassed, struggling even against basic Allied armor and increasingly powerful anti-tank weapons. My lineup includes the Chi-Ha Kai at 2.3, the most capable tank in the lineup, with the only shell that can reliably deal with well-armed tanks. The Chi-Ha, a 1.3 tank armed with 50mm HEAT, however, it's still very much a struggle to deal with any armor. The Ka-Mi, a 1.0 Amphibious light tank, is lightly armored, slow, and armed with an awful gun, especially for 4.3. Finally, the Type 94 SPAA at 1.3, with a 20mm cannon with below-average penetration values, a mediocre rate of fire, and a poor magazine size. My aircraft includes the A6M3 Mod 22 sitting at 4.3, an excellent fighter with amazing performance and maneuverability, also armed with 60kg bombs and the solid Japanese 20mm guns. Finally, the Ki-21-1A, a 1.7 bomber with four 250kg bombs, decent maneuverability, but pretty weak defensive armament and survivability. This challenge was significantly harder than the German 1945 one, as Japan's low tier is barely good even at its own Battle Ratings. I originally had this challenge planned for 5.0-5.3 to be 1943, but that was nearly impossible. I played for 6-7 hours and got maybe 10 kills in total with it. Thanks for visiting my channel.
