This trek is preferable for beginners and intermediate trekkers. You have to reach Mcleodganj (H.P.) to start this trek. Trek starts from Gallu devi temple and it is a 7 kms trek and throughout the trek you will see the beauty of Dhauladhar mountain range. Once you reach triund its beauty will mesmerise you. I advice you to stay at triund in the tent because when you wake up in morning you will be amazing with the cool and refreshing breeze and the sunrise. It will take around 4 hrs to trek up and 2 hrs to trek down. Everything will be double in the price at the top. If you start trek before 11 AM you no need to book a tent in advance but after 11 Am to 2 Pm you need advance booked tent to start and after 2 PM trekkers are not allowed after the gallu devi forest check post and do remember to carry id proof with you. There is snowline or ilaka trek 2 hrs from triund and indrahar 2-3 hrs from snowline. There is a small water source near triund some 1 kms down from triund.
