The BMW RT and GS motorcycles are shaft driven, with a "final drive" unit which drives the rear wheel. That final drive pivots from the end of a swing arm, which itself pivots from the bike frame. The final drive pivot point has two bearings, one a sealed bearing and the other an open roller bearing.
