ABOUT THE SHOW For their fourth annual fashion show, Newcastle University Fashion Society explore the theme 'Human Interference'. Utilising a digital format for the first time, short fashion films will conceptualise the intertwined aspect of narcissism and environmental dystopia through the four elements: earth, fire, water, and air. Keeping growing environmental concerns in mind, NUFS have sourced ethical and sustainable clothing as well as handmade their own collection. To further raise awareness of the fashion industry’s impact on the environment, the society has partnered with Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), a non-profit organisation that promotes non-violent resolution of human rights abuses and related environmental issues in the Global South.
