In this video I demonstrate my method for bringing gridscale data into a groundscale drawing as long as you know the project location and ground scale factor. this concept applies to the same way if you are wanting to go from ground to grid but instead 1/sf it is 1/combined scale factor as seen in the points spreadsheet. This is my preferred direction of translation when spanning multiple townships essentially giving you the ability to only keep grid data and scale you linework to ground in a local drawing so you always see the most up to date grid xref in every ground drawing since there is only one and it is constantly being updated as more ground data is scaled and inserted. Because I am working with engineers that work strictly with ground data it is essential for my point clouds and derivatives to be at a ground scale. I encourage them not to use the raw files unless visually verified to control.
