The Log Huts, Manali by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) offers a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The cottages are comfortable, well planned and ideal for a family of four to five. Suitable for senior citizens. We stayed in Deluxe Log Huts in June 2024. The cottage was well maintained and clean. Room service was good. Staff behavior was friendly. Food was good. Overall, value for money. It is a serene place to stay, away from traffic. Being surrounded by dense forest of deodar trees, it is cooler in summer afternoons as compared to other areas. The place offers good views of the surrounding snowcapped peaks. The property is situated at 1 or 2 km distance from places such as Mall Road, Old Manali, Club House, Hidimba Temple, etc. You can also walk to all these places. Recently, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered closure of several HPTDC properties (including The Log Huts, Manali), citing low occupancy and losses. The litigation may continue. However, all these properties will ultimately land in private hands.
