Taryn: Financial Coach, Daughter, Yogi, World traveler who suffers from Bi-polar Disorder Taryn is a black professional who suffers from bipolar mania. She is also a mental health advocate and financial advisor. Taryn is an African American woman who has bipolar disorder. She discovered that her mother had been holding on to a deep secret - she was living with bipolar all of her life but did not share it with Taryn. Taryn was 24 when she finally got diagnosed. Many cases are not as severe as Taryn’s. However, there seems to be an attitude in the community that having bipolar disorder is a sentence to ongoing mental instability. Her story is like so many other people who have undiagnosed mental health illnesses. Thankfully, she got the help she needed.
