LALPA HI KAN TAN A LO THA BER E. It is clear that we have very little control even over our own lives, and even less over the way the world works. Yet, despite this, we still carry hopes and desires. When these expectations aren't met, it’s incredibly easy to fall into despair or feel deeply discouraged. Furthermore, when we look at our lives and see how far we are from our goals, we often make the mistake of comparing ourselves to others. Without seeing the reality of their inner lives, we compare our "backstage" to their "highlight reel"—their public persona and the carefully curated versions of their success. This9 leads to a deep sense of inadequacy, feeling useless, unimportant, and as though we are falling behind. Even though we know that life’s journey is full of ups and downs—rough paths, muddy stretches, seasons of drought, and moments of thick darkness as well as bright light—it is still so hard to endure when the hardship actually arrives. We act as if these things were never supposed to happen. Losing loved ones, even when it isn't through death, is painful enough; but the grief of losing someone to the grave makes moving forward feel almost impossible. Yet, in the midst of all this, a "Loving God" never changes His mind about us. His love remains constant. He is patient and incredibly kind. We may search for rest, understanding, or contentment in other things, but in the end, we always find ourselves returning to the Lord. The Lord is truly the best for us.
