The video contains a discussion of the Dead Loads based on NSCP 2015 and how to use the NSCP Tables 204-1 and Table 204-2 to solve dead load problems. Example Problem 1: The T-beam is made from concrete. Determine the dead load in kN per meter length of beam. Example Problem 2: The floor of a light storage warehouse is made of 150-mm-thick lightweight plain concrete. If the floor is a slab having a length of 7 m and width of 3 m, determine the resultant force, in kN, caused by the dead load. Example Problem 3: The floor beam in the figure is used to support the 2-m width of a lightweight plain concrete slab having a thickness of 100 mm. The slab serves as a portion of the ceiling for the floor below, and therefore its bottom is coated with plaster. Furthermore, a 2.45-m high, 300-mm thick lightweight solid concrete block wall is directly over the top flange of the beam. Determine the loading of the beam measured kN per meter of length of the beam.
