A sacrifice is the practice of giving up or killing something which is very valuable and getting something which you consider more valuable or essential in return. The things that people sacrifice mostly include food items, animals and sometimes, humans. But a certain cult in ancient Israel practiced a form of sacrifice which stands out from all the other forms. Child sacrifice. They burned their children to death for their god, Moloch, who had the body of a man and the head of a bull.
