If you’re confused about what that number means, that’s ok. You probably know how a routine starts form 10 in the JO US levels system and college gymnastics. Well in elite (that’s the level at which worlds, Olympics and other big completions are at) the score can start higher than that. You start with 10 points, but more are added for how hard the routine is, and that’s exactly what I’m working out in the video. I made the routine as hard as I could by cutting together videos of top gymnasts, then I added together the difficulty of the hardest 8 skills. I also added the bonus points you get for connecting hard skills (called CV), and the points for fulfilling the requirements (called composition requirements or CR). So this means that if someone did this routine, they’d start from a 18.2 and get deducted on all their mistakes from there. I used the 2022 code for the D scoring.
