Transform your Granite Counters with Paint and Epoxy - Step by Step DIY How to Tutorial

Tired of your old dated granite countertops? Instead of ripping and replacing them, just paint them and add a clear coat epoxy to seal the deal. Anyone can do this! I gave this a try for the first time and thought "What do I have to lose"? I must say, it came out 10x better than I thought it would, and everyone now gets to enjoy the new look. Here's what you'll need: Paint - I used Seal Grip Gripper. I've also seen people use wall paper or other designs if you don't want to paint. I used Natural Gray paint for the veins. Brushes - one small detail brush, one 1/2 inch brush for the trim, and a 2 inch brush to spread the veins. Rollers - I used a 1/4 nap roller to pain for a nice smooth finish, and then a foam roller to spread around the epoxy resin. Paint trays Tape, drop cloths and protective plastic to cover anything you care about. Blow torch - a small kitchen one or heat gun works just fine Silicone - to seal the sink edge as the final step. Pro tip - let the epoxy sit for about 45 minutes and then pull all the tape. This will give time for the epoxy to rest if you make any mistakes or blemishes. If you wait too long then it's there forever! #diy #homeimprovement #countertops #painting #hometips #lifehacks #ideas #art #upgrade #love #epoxy #marble #granite #howto #tutorial #easy #simple #diycountertops #jakemadeit #counters #home #homedecor #homeideas #savemoney #sustainability #doityourself #amazing #subscribe #quartz #quartzcountertops #easydiy
