Australian artist exhibits hyperrealist sculpture in his first Latin American exhibition

(20 Mar 2014) ARTIST RON MUECK BRINGS HIS LIFE LIKE COLLECTION TO LATIN AMERICA The work of Australian artist Ron Mueck went on display in Latin America for the first time on Wednesday (19 MARCH). Mueck is of German descent and creates intensely real looking sculptures that are often not to scale. His sculptures are made entirely by hand and can take anywhere from six months to several years to complete as he meticulously adds every single detail in a person's face, hair, nails and eyes. This same exhibit was shown in Paris and attracted a record number of 300,000 visitors.
