Utahns urged to join effort to end growing child hunger need

Utahns have stepped up this month to help in the fight against child hunger with KUTV’s Souper Bowl of Caring, an effort to raise awareness and support for families struggling to keep food on the table. For 25 years, Gina Cornia, with Utahns Against Hunger, has worked on the front lines of Utah’s hunger fight, not inside food pantries but by helping people connect to the programs that make a consistent meal possible. “I am so lucky to do this,” she said. Over time, she said, the path to receiving federal nutrition assistance has grown more complicated.
