This video is aimed at helping people who aspire to do a PhD degree by providing them with some tips based on my personal experience. Specifically, I emphasize the following three key points that I believe are very important for an aspirant to know and get right before the start: Ensure you have a strong motivation to do PhD Choice of an appropriate PhD topic Choice of an appropriate PhD supervisor About me: I am Dr Tahir Nawaz, a person with a substantial experience of working in academic and industrial sectors across various European countries. I completed a PhD that was a joint Doctorate program under the Erasmus Mundus Fellowship in Queen Mary University of London and Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt, Austria. I received an MSc that was a joint Master's program under the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in three European universities: Heriot-Watt University, UK; University of Girona, Spain; and University of Burgundy, France. I also completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree at National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. I have published numerous papers in prestigious publication venues and have been involved in several international research projects funded by various European bodies.
