Change is the only constant. Everything in life continually shifts, evolves, and moves in cycles — including us. Yet even when we know change will serve our growth, it can feel deeply uncomfortable. We can find ourselves stuck in old patterns, repeating familiar habits, emotional responses, and coping strategies long after they’ve stopped supporting who we are becoming. Often, it is the ego that resists change. Its role is to protect us from the unknown, keeping us “safe” within what is familiar. It reasons with us. It offers plausible excuses. It suggests that another time would be better. It can even activate repressed memories and subconscious patterns that generate self-doubt or fear — overriding our will and quietly depleting our energy. But without change, we become stagnant. Dissatisfaction grows. Frustration builds. Over time, we limit what we are capable of experiencing, creating, and embodying. When we cultivate steadiness, resolve, and courage, we reclaim our power to evolve consciously rather than reactively. Through intentional, somatic meditation practices, we can meet the ego with awareness instead of resistance. We can address subconscious patterns directly and begin to rewire the internal narratives that hold us back. In this 50-minute Kundalini Yoga practice, we restore our power and permission to evolve — consciously and intentionally. We move rhythmically and mindfully from root to crown, using breath and dynamic asana to restore mind-body awareness, and soften areas of resistance and old patterns held in the body. We then commence a focused meditation for deep change, that includes long deep breathing, an energy directing mudra, and concentrated attention to transform limiting patterns and reconnect with clarity, self-authority, commitment and coherence. The Cosmic Context of This Recording This practice was recorded at the completion of Saturn’s 29-year journey through the zodiac, at the anaretic degree of Pisces — a powerful threshold associated with integration, karmic closure, and preparation for a new cycle. At the same time, the Eclipse window had opened, amplifying themes of release, recalibration, and intentional new beginnings. Saturn represents discipline, structure, maturity, and the long arc of personal development. Those experiencing a Saturn Return, a significant Saturn transit, or who carry strong Saturn signatures in their charts — such as prominent placements in Capricorn or Aquarius — may feel this moment more acutely and benefit from this practice at any time. However, this practice supports anyone seeking to cultivate Saturnian qualities: personal will, steadiness, integrity, tenacity, dedication, and the resilience required to commit to long-term growth. If you are embarking on a meaningful project, restructuring your life, or strengthening your capacity to stay the course and build something that lasts, this kriya and meditation are designed to support your transformation and anchor your resolve. Enjoy and benefit this practice.
