I gave Applebees an olive branch and it was the grossest experience ever! I don't want people thinking I am coming off pretentious, but after working in the industry for 12 years, you come to expect a level of service from others. Cleaning glasses, plates, and silverware is a HUGE thing. I hate bugs, but understand that they can get into any establishment or home. That being said, I will never go back since the food isnt that great anyway. Applebees, NEVER AGAIN!! I also want to make sure I reiterate that while working in the industry, it is customary that if something is wrong with someones drink, you apologize and get them a new one on the house. As a bartender/server, you want to make sure the dining experience of your guests is enjoyable, and dirty glasses is unacceptable. I did not complain about the drink other than requesting a new one, and I paid without a fuss.
