There are fishing kayaks and there are fishing kayaks. I wanted to get into a good kayak but, being a bigger guy, I knew I needed a more stable platform than the standard supermarket special. I had looked at Vibe, Feel Free, Hobie, etc and, while they're all exceptional, they are all well over $1,000 and up. Then I found out about Emotion Kayak's new addition for 2017: the Stealth Pro Angler. It's an 11' 8" kayak with many of the features of the higher end fishing kayaks, like gear tracks, a custom seat, huge tank wells, etc. but with an MSRP for hundreds less. The big question is: is it stable enough to stand up in...even for a guy my size? Let's put that to the test.
