Realistically and sensitively portraying the real-life story of John Davidson - a man who changed public perceptions of Tourette’s in the UK - was the hardest role of Robert Aramayo’s career to date. The physical and verbal ‘tics’ brought on by the condition were built into the script and ad-libbed throughout filming to make the scenes feel as authentic as possible.
