Looking for a way to see which tests you’ve run across multiple test runs or plans and the latest status of those tests? The Comparison for Cases Report in TestRail allows you to see results for all of the test cases you’ve executed in a given set of test runs based on how you’ve organized the test cases in your test repository. You can select specific sections of test cases to report on, or filter test cases displayed in the report by various fields like test type, priority, and more. The Comparison for Cases Report also gives you visibility into which tests you’ve planned, run, or rerun across a range of test runs in a given test plan, milestone, or any other filtered set of test runs—including the status of those tests across multiple executions or test runs. The report includes a bar chart that gives you a quick glance at the number of tests planned across various test runs you’ve created and the status of those tests, as well as a table with detailed information (including test result statuses) for test cases you’ve planned or executed across your selected runs. You can use this report to gain insight on: ◾️ Which test cases you’ve planned to test across a range of test runs—and which you haven’t ◾️ The status of tests your team has run or rerun across multiple test runs ◾️ Data about each test case you’ve planned to run or already executed like test type, priority, and estimated effort ◾️ Potential issues with tests in your test suite or gaps in which tests you’ve planned to run for a given test cycle ◾️ Potential areas of risk in your application If you have any questions about using this chart or any other chart in TestRail, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at contact@gurock.com!
