Torque on Demand! Stage 2 to GTB450 upgrade on a Td5 Defender

Torque on Demand... Lots of it! GTB450 is our most popular turbo upgrade for the Td5, due to the incredibly fast spool up, making the Td5 drive like a modern turbo diesel. Having previously tuned this Defender 90 to Stage 2 with our Ultimate Intercooler, and then installing our awesome comfort suspension system, the icing on the cake for this Td5 was our incredible GTB450 VNT turbo, so we strapped it onto our MAHA MSR500 dyno to see how it'll perform. We went in fairly hard so expected to see around 210hp, but unfortunately this engine didn't want to deliver and we only achieved a peak power of 199.8hp and 454Nm. Try as we might, the injectors just wouldn't give any more, but having said that, the torque was on point and so overall this was going to be much nicer and smoother to drive. Join Martyn and Rob as they take you through the dyno session and then onto the road, where our awesome comfort suspension helps keep the camera steady while Rob pushes on!
