At the OOP conference 2020 in Munich, IT journalist Christoph Witte interviewed iSAQB member Stefan Toth, who has been a member of the iSAQB since 2009, and authored the CPSA Advanced modules AGILA and AWERT - Agile Software Architecture and Architecture Assesment. Stefan Toth explains what companies want to achieve with software architecture evaluation, represents standards and methods of architecture evaluation, and discusses whether or not it is an exact science. Furthermore, the dialog partners take a closer look at the methods that are being taught in the iSAQB Advanced Level course AWERT, and finally move on to the controversial discussion of software architecture in agile environments, and the associated AGILA module.
