Devlin Oarling II rowing to Capers Island, SC

This is HERON, my Sam Devlin designed Oarling II. The nicest rowing boat I've ever taken on the water. It's light, rows effortlessly, seaworthy, fast, and good natured. We left Gadsdenville Landing near Mt. Pleasant, SC and headed out for Capers Island. It took us about an hour each way, taking our time. I counted at least 90 boats at Capers Inlet when we arrived. It was Memorial Day weekend, and everyone was ready to social distance together on their boats. Unfortunately, I didn't take much footage because of the 10-15 kt sea breeze and all the boat traffic. But this is still the first footage I have of the boat, and I'm happy to see how she looks in the water. I buy and sell wooden boats all the time to get to know them. This one, I'll keep until one of us can't row anymore. Great boat!
