Hi, my name is Mike and I'm restoring these ancient buildings in France. I am a traditional carpenter who worked in restoring the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. I'm going to use my craft skills to restore this building but I need your help. Despite moving to France from the UK several years ago, I've spent so much building and restoring other peoples houses that I've not had time to work on my own. So now I need your help: Which of the three projects in the video would you like to see me tackle first. 1. Stone wall above the bread oven. I'll be using traditional earth mortars and making a lovely little door. This will allow me to move onto the next step of this part which is to restore the bread oven! 2. Hobbit style pantry. An oak carved door and shelves. I'll also be using hemp insulation and making a stone floor. 3. This is a fun one! Cut of my beard with an axe! Sharpening is one of the most important skills for anyone using tools. So I'll show you how to sharpen an axe to get a razor sharp edge. And there's one way to prove a method!
