Out of the 171 parties seeking registration from INEC, the commission, in a press release on September 15, 2025, narrowed that number to 14 that met constitutional and its guidelines, including All Democratic Alliance, which passed to the next stage – the administrative and verification process. However, INEC later made a U-turn on their earlier approval, stating that ADA didn't meet constitutional and INEC's guidelines. Given that two parties were just registered, we have an issue with the National Democratic Congress as they didn't participate in the INEC registration process; the excuse of a court order is ridiculous.
