This Dolch 63C went under my knife as an experiment to replace its Dallas/Maxim DS1287 real time clock chip. After a completely uneventful desolder and resolder, I got the dreaded 3-beeps-of-death saying there's a memory error. I built @necro_ware's project replacement for the DS128x family of parts. https://github.com/necroware/nwX287 If you are interested in Dolch computers, you must read and watch @CuriousMarc series: • Dolch PAC 65 and Marc's site here: https://www.curiousmarc.com/computing... I also mention Richco, Inc which, for stupid reasons adopted the stupid name 'Essentra Components'. Rich history be damned. Read a wee teeny bit of sterilized history about Richco here: https://www.essentracomponents.com/en... I mention PEMs, which are used in the Dolch metalwork. PEM trademarked unique visual features to differentiate themselves from the inevitable onslaught of cheap copies. Read more on PEM here: https://www.pemnet.com/company-histor... And Noctura fans are really good. You'd think the big boys (Nidec, EBM, Sanyo Denki, Delta, etc.) would have done it first.
