The woman's family from Gorakhpur has accused Pandit of abusing her publicly and restricting her diet, alleging that he may have murdered her and staged it as a suicide. Initial police inquiries suggest that Tuli was mentally distressed due to Pandit's harassment, and that he had failed a pilot exam he was preparing for.
