Using 15 different gears, toddlers and preschoolers can mix and match to customize their own train. The train consists of three detachable pieces: the train engine, an elephant car, and a bear car with kid-powered seesaw. Each train piece has space for multiple gears to be attached, and when the train is pushed or pulled, the gears will spin. There is storage for the attached pull cord to easily go from push toy to pull toy and back again. No matter how it's put together, the train will play more than 150 songs, melodies, sounds, and phrases all about animals, places, instruments, and more. To start the sound effects, just turn on the train and slide the location slider, turn the trigger gear, pull or push the train, or place a Smart Gear Animal on the Purple Smart Pole behind the train stack. The sounds kids hear depends on which of the three activity modes they've chosen. In Exploration Fun mode, kids will hear phrases and songs about locations, the train, instruments, and animals. In Quiz mode, the train asks kids questions about instruments and locations. Kids move the location slider or press one of the three instrument buttons to answer.
