Standing on the edge of the Manchester Ship Canal, this used to be the first port of call for sailors and dockers. Today, the Dockside Inn—formerly the Old Quay Hotel—is a hollowed-out shell of Runcorn’s industrial past. Once a place of noise, pints, and trade, it has now fallen silent.
