→ The day was finally here. I WAS going to get on this flight whether it was delayed or not. I'd figure out the rest of the trip in Houston. Sure enough, this flight was definitely delayed. About an hour. Once again, because of a late tow to the gate. San Francisco has got to get this towing situation figured out because this flight NEVER goes out of time. Granted, international flights take priority over domestic flights, so this flight was already quite far down the list to be towed. Nonetheless, welcome aboard United's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with hub-hopping service between San Francisco and Houston in first class! I can't call this Polaris, because that's not what it was sold as (I've been reprimanded for that before). → I want to rant and rave about this product as this is my airline — but I simply can't. Granted, this ticket was dirt cheap, so I wasn't really expecting a whole lot. But for the people who paid top dollar for the same flight would have been mega-unimpressed. Practically the only good things on this flight were the lie-flat bed and the flight crew. Otherwise, bleh. The food (seen at 55:29) was mediocre at best. It was the only truly appetizing thing on the menu, hence it was the most requested and I got the last plate. Thankfully, because everything else on the menu had the word 'spicy' in it and I don't do spicy. The food also sat really heavy in my stomach for the remainder of the day. → We left SFO about an hour late and I had a 44-minute (scheduled) connection in Houston. I had already looked up options if I were to misconnect and had 2 or 3 plans ready to go. We made up some time in the air, but not much. Did I make it? Or did I have to rebook?
