Impossible Mission is a bona fide classic game for the Commodore 64. Released in 1984 by the legendary Epyx, it broke new ground with its brilliant gameplay, amazing graphics, buttery-smooth animations and atmospheric soundscape. In the game, the evil professor, Elvin Atombender, has cracked the computers of the world's superpowers, and is threatening to engulf the earth in nuclear fire in 6 hours. Your task, as Special Agent 4125, is to infiltrate Elvin’s underground fortress, get past his army of murderous robots, and crack the secret code to his lair where you can stop him. Along the way, you'll need to search through 32 different rooms, looking for 36 puzzle pieces that you can then use to crack his secret passcode. All the while, you'll be working to master perilous jumps while avoiding robots who are trying to electrocute you. It's delightfully fun and has very high replay value.
