Our 49th Imam, Mawlana Shah Karim, passed away on February 4, 2025. He was succeeded by Mawlana Hazar Imam Shah Rahim Al-Hussaini, who is now the 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims. For sixty-seven years, Mawlana Shah Karim guided his community with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Through his Imamat, he not only provided spiritual leadership but also transformed the lives of millions through the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), uplifting communities in education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and cultural preservation. His tireless efforts built schools, hospitals, and institutions that empowered people worldwide, regardless of faith or background. The Ismaili community cherished him deeply, holding his love and guidance close to their hearts. Today, as we mourn his passing, our hearts are broken, but we remain infinitely grateful for the legacy he has left behind.
