Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya — Sacred Vishnu Mantra Meditation | Krishna Mantra | Nitai Nada A deep devotional meditation weaving the Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya mantra with sacred verses from the Bhagavata Purana and Brahma Samhita. This contemplative audio-visual offering brings together ancient Sanskrit prayers describing the divine nature of Lord Vishnu and Krishna — the eternal source of peace, protection, and spiritual awakening. The mantra Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya is known as the twelve-syllable mantra of surrender to Lord Vishnu, traditionally chanted for purification, inner stillness, and devotion. Within this meditation the mantra flows together with several classical Sanskrit verses including: • Shantakaram Bhujaga-Shayanam — a prayer describing the peaceful cosmic form of Vishnu • Venum Kvanantam — a vision of Govinda playing His flute • Ishvarah Paramah Krishnah — the declaration of Krishna as the Supreme Reality • Tat Te 'Nukampam — a verse describing the soul's surrender to divine mercy These verses come from the Bhagavata Purana and the Brahma Samhita, two of the most revered texts in the Vaishnava tradition. Verses & Translation Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya — I bow to Lord Vasudeva Shantakaram bhujaga-shayanam padmanabham suresham Vishvadharam gagana-sadrisham megha-varnam shubhangam Lakshmikantam kamala-nayanam yogibhir-dhyana-gamyam Vande Vishnum bhava-bhaya-haram sarva-lokaika-natham — I worship Vishnu, the peaceful one who reclines on the serpent, from whose navel springs the lotus, who sustains the universe, whose complexion is like the clouds, who is the beloved of Lakshmi, the lotus-eyed one meditated upon by yogis — the remover of the fear of worldly existence, the sole lord of all worlds. Ishvarah paramah Krishnah, satchidananda vigrahah — Krishna is the Supreme Lord, whose form is eternal knowledge and bliss. Venum kvanantam aravinda-dalayat-aksham Barhavatamsam asitambuda-sundarangam Kandarpa-koti-kamaniya-vishesha-shobham Govindam adi-purusham tam aham bhajami — I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who plays the flute, whose eyes are like lotus petals, who wears a peacock feather, whose beauty surpasses millions of Cupids. Tat te 'nukampam su-samiksamano bhunjana evatma-krtam vipakam hrd-vag-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te jiveta yo mukti-pade sa daya-bhak — One who endures all hardship as the mercy of the Lord, offering respect with heart, words and body — such a person becomes eligible for liberation.
