For more than 35 years Nile Rodgers has been writing, recording, and producing some of the best known songs in music history. The music he created with his band Chic as well as through collaborations with artists such as David Bowie, Sister Sledge, Daft Punk, and Diana Ross have produced a musical legacy that has influenced much of what we now know in modern music. After being a fan of his music and guitar playing style for many years, and recently seeing him perform live, it inspired me to record and film this video compilation of some of my favourite Nile Rodgers songs. I used the original recordings of the songs, layered my own guitar part over the top of them, then edited and mixed the music in GarageBand. Some of the original tracks had slight pitch shifting, so I tuned the guitar sharp of concert pitch to compensate. Please give it a thumbs up, leave some comments and hit subscribe!
