Tears For Fears - "Woman In Chains" (Matisse Mix) - A Myleslandia Sound + Vision Mix by Myles Matisse! "This is when Tears for Fears was getting really musically complex. Roland assembled many seasoned players outside the band to play on this album and song. The drums alone can get confusing...Manu Katche plays the drums on "Woman in Chains" until the mid-way mark with Phil Collins takes over and plays until the end. In the music video, drummer Chris Hughes just "plays" Manu and Phil's parts. Curt is also "playing" bass in the video while world renowned bassist Pino Palladino plays the bass on the record. This song is incredibly emotional and deep, both musically and lyrically. Having vocalist Oleta Adams all through this lifts the song up to masterpiece status. To make my "Matisse Mix" of the audio, I combined the instrumental with the album version because I love having a few minutes of instrumental in the beginning of the song to take the listener (and viewer) on an unforgettable, beautiful journey. I re-edited the original music video with their performance from their "Going to California" concert film. To make both videos fit together well, I changed both videos color to a blue hue. I think the results of my "Myleslandia Sound + Vision Mix" are exquisite. Hope you do too." - Myles The original version of "Woman in Chains" is on the Tears for Fears album, "The Seeds of Love".
