On the 22nd of January 2022, Death Thrash band Aeons Abyss played a backyard Metal show in suburban Melbourne to a small number of guests. The performance was motivated by the inability to play at live music venues due to ongoing lockdowns in Victoria. The band's singer Paul "Death Metal Poet" flew into Melbourne from South Australia for the event, whilst drummer, Jimmy was absent due to a very new addition to his family. Hence the band performed alongside backing drum tracks. A number of the songs were live streamed on the day via the band's official Instagram channel.
