Making a beautiful approach into Amsterdam after a very short flight over from Paris. Landing onto the Polderbaan. Was quite impressed with the service on this flight, other than being the typical Euro business class seating, not even extra leg room like KLM. For being such a short flight its rather shocking to receive a full drink service and a cold plate of pasta with fish, which wasn't something I would normally eat but it was ok, dessert was delicious. Crew was really friendly and welcoming as well, with nearly 20 business class passengers to serve they didn't seem rushed at all. US airlines really need to step up their game, if European airlines can pull off this kind of service on 45 minute flight with 20+ passengers there really isn't an excuse for our US airlines to be so pathetic, especially when charging such high fares for first and only about 1/2 the amount of people to serve. The bigger seat is nice but my usual morning flights to connection cities are twice as long as this one and the most you get is a couple of drinks and maybe some extra snacks if the crew isn't too busy playing with their phones. Would be nice to get a small breakfast in the morning or some kind of light meal in the afternoon/evening. Its a shame we don't have standards anymore, but with no real competition why should they bother.
