In this episode, we are having a look at the SONICAKE IR, impulse response loader. This affordable IR loader was sent to me by SONICAKE to check out a few weeks back. I wasn't too sure how to approach this review at first, and spent a few days testing different scenarios that I think reflects what many people will use this pedal for. I'll be testing the Sonic IR with a NUX MG-300, bypassing the stock IRs in that unit and using those from the Sonicake. I'll also be using the Line6 HX Stomp in the same manner. There will be multiple examples using different analog pedals going straight into the Sonicake IR, using these pedals as preamps.
